Edward M. DeCastro, DDS

Dr. DeCastro was born and raised in Oswego, New York.  graduating from Oswego Catholic High School in 1966.  After Graduating from the United States Military Academy in 1970, he served six years active duty with the Army.  In 1976, Dr. DeCastro entered dental school at State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine under the Army Health Professions Scholarship Program.  After graduating in 1980, he completed a one year General Practice Residency at Moncrief Army Hospital in Ft. Jackson, SC. 

Dr. DeCastro left the Army in 1985 to join Drs. Richard O'Keefe and Mark A. Tiernan at Oneida Dental group.  He purchased the practice from them in December 1987.  Dr. Anne-Russell became his partner in July of 2001 and they were joined by a third partner, Nathan H. Weires in July of 2006.

Dr. DeCastro married his wife Cherie on June 17 1972 and they live here in Oneida.  They have three sons: Brian (1976), a urologist, Craig (1979), a dentist and our newest associate at ODG since September 2006, and Kevin (1984), a financial planner with Planco, Inc.

Anne Russell-Brien, DDS

Dr. Anne Russell-Brien grew up in the Rochester area.  She graduated from LeMoyne College in Syracuse 1993 with a MS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry.  She obtained her DDS from the State University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1997.  Dr. Russell-Brien then moved back to the Syracuse area for a one year General Practice Residency at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Center.  She worked in the North Syracuse area prior to becoming an associate with the Oneida Dental Group in October of 1999.  Dr. Russell-Brien and Dr. DeCastro became partners in July of 2001.

She and her husband Jason reside in Fayetteville with their two daughters Sarah and Gretchen.

Nathan H. Weires, DDS

Dr. Nathan Weires grew up in New Paltz, NY.  He attended Cornell University and graduated in 1995 with a BS in Microbiology.  He then moved to Buffalo where he obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine.  Dr. Weires then spent a year in the US Public Health Service working at the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico.  He provided dental care to the people of the Navajo nation.

He returned to Buffalo where he worked and married his wife Jean in 2001.  After spending a year in Chicago, IL he moved to Oneida, NY to practice.  In July 2006, Dr. Weires became the third partner of the Oneida Dental Group.  He has two boys, Lucas and Mason.  Dr. Weires enjoys fishing, running, hiking and golfing.


Craig M. DeCastro, DDS

Dr. Craig DeCastro was raised in Oneida, NY where he graduated from Oneida High School in 1997.  Then Dr. DeCastro attended Saint Bonaventure University, graduating in 2001.  He entered into Dental School at the University of Buffalo.  Following Dental School Dr. DeCastro completed a one year General Practice Residency at Faxton-Saint Luke's Dental Center in New Hartford. He joined the Oneida Dental Group in September of 2006 where he is currently an Associate Dentist.
